VIBRATION REDUCTION SOLUTIONS FOR Mechanical presses


All metal forming operations -Blanking, Drawing or Forming on the press produce very large impact forces.These forces travel through the press frame into the foundation. The foundation produces a rebound force equal to the impact force and this travels inside the machine. These internal forces are produced by the stamping operation on a press when the press is bolted to a foundation or installed on isolators. However, the magnitude of the vibration within the press is lower when using vibration isolators. Bolting the press rigidly to a foundation subjects it to more vibration and impact force. Vibration isolators are cushions that transform a sudden shock pulse into a decaying series of longer duration forces. Imagine the force of hitting a wall with our fist. Now hitting the wall with the same energy, but with our hand in a boxing glove. It is obvious that the later hurt less! This is because the impact duration is longer, effectively reducing the impact force. Short duration impacts mean higher force.

This same thing happens on a press rigidly bolted to the foundation. The sudden release of potential energy at impact causes the press foot to slam against the foundation. This fast duration, high magnitude force hits the foundation and the foundation responds in kind, sending damaging forces back into the press. In case the press is isolated from the foundation with Dynemech passive vibration isolators, the isolators will absorb most of the impact energy of the blow. Now, the impact force at the foundation is reduced and also the rebound force transmitted by the foundation into the press machine

Dynemech Anti Vibration Tables

 Dynemech presents anti vibration tables in four variants to meet almost all types of industrial requirements of vibration isolation of precision measuring and testing equipments. Our antivibration tables eliminates vibrations from very low frequency to very high frequency ranges. These can be placed in the high vibration production zone for in process measurements using very high precision quality control equipments. These Vibration-Isolated Tables can also be placed on suspended floors in a building. The amplitude of vibration tends to be higher on suspended slabs of a building making it is very difficult to operate these precision measuring machines on these suspended floors without using vibration isolations systems. Our AV-Tables are well equipped to handle diverse types of vibration problems faced by customers on these suspended floors. The problem of vibration transmission may be aggravated even by walking on the floor, vibration travel from rooftop machineries or nearby vehicular movements.
 The four variants are listed below:
1.      Elastomeric (DIT-E)  - 2 levels of vibration isolation – 1st at the leveling feet and 2nd  5 layers of Dp insulation plates between granite plate and metal stand – No maintenance is required after installation – Natural Frequency 7-8 Hz. Vibration isolation in  the range of 80-90%
2.      Air Springs (DIT-AS) –Natural Frequency 4-6 Hz Vibration isolation 90-95% - Air pressure must be checked once in 15 days.
3.      Auto leveling pneumatic mounts (DIT-AL) – Natural Frequency 4-6 Hz. Vibration isolation 90-95% - continuous air supply is needed. The tabletop remains leveled to a repeatability of + 0.15mm for any load changes on top of the table.
4.  Auto leveling pneumatic mounts (DIT-AM) – Natural Frequency 4-6 Hz. Vibration isolation 90-95% - continuous air supply is needed. The tabletop remains leveled to a repeatability of + 0.015mm for any load changes on top of the table.
